EURASIAN WREN, SAUGHTON PUBLIC PARK, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND, UNITED KINGDOM, 7/17/2017 - NEW LIFE SPECIES
We can ID this Wren as a Eurasian Wren as follows:
- Very small size
- It is the only Wren species found in the Old World
- Very short tail, which it is holding erect
- my number Overall brown with whitish barring
- Sharp, pointy bill
- White supercillium
The Eurasian Wren is a new species to our ebird Photographic Life List.

We can ID this bird as a Eurasian Blue Tit as follows:
- Small size
- Short, dark bill
- Yellowish underparts with a dark line down the abdomen
- Face is white with a light blue tinge
- Black line passing through eye
The Eurasian Blue Tit is a new species to our ebird Photographic Life List.
