MALE SAFFRON FINCH, HARBOUR VILLAGE, SALINA, KRALENDIJK, BONAIRE, CARIBBEAN NETHERLANDS, 3/20/2024 - NEW SPECIES TO LIFE LIST
We can ID this bird as a male Saffron Finch as follows:
- Yellow head with orange forehead and fore crown, with some orange extending to face and throat
- Bill has dark upper mandible and mostly yellow lower mandible
- Under parts yellow and unpatterned
- Upper parts greenish yellow with dark areas (parts of wings)
- Tail is dark with broad yellowish edges
- Dark eyes
- Pinkish legs
