MALE SAFFRON FINCH, HARBOUR VILLAGE, SALINA, KRALENDIJK, BONAIRE, CARIBBEAN NETHERLANDS, 3/20/2024 - NEW SPECIES TO LIFE LIST

   We can ID this bird as a male Saffron Finch as follows:
  • Yellow head with orange forehead and fore crown, with some orange extending to face and throat
  • Bill has dark upper mandible and mostly yellow lower mandible
  • Under parts yellow and unpatterned
  • Upper parts greenish yellow with dark areas (parts of wings)
  • Tail is dark with broad yellowish edges
  • Dark eyes
  • Pinkish legs
      The Saffron Finch is a new species to our  ebird Photographic Life List.  Our ebird Life List now stands at 1,134.
