ORANGE-FRONTED PARAKEETS, RIO PITILLAL, PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO, MEXICO, 12/15/2023

      In the first photograph you can see the orange forehead on the left Orange-fronted Parakeet.  These photos were taken via digiscoping with a cell phone.




 

PLUMBEOUS VIREO, BOCA DE TOMATES, PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO, MEXICO, 12/15/2023 - NEW LIFE SPECIES

   We can ID this bird as a Plumbeous Vireo as follows:
  • Thick, dark bill with hooked end.
  • Whitish underparts with flanks having grayish wash.
  • Gray head, face, neck and what can see of the back.
  • White spectacles.
   The Plumbeous Vireo is a new species to our ebird Photographic Life List.  The ebird Life List now stands at 1,099.
