MALE, FEMALE & JUVENILE WOOD DUCKS, DUCK PONDS, HIGH PARK, TORONTO, ONTARIO, 7/24/2023

   The first photo shows an adult male (left) and adult female (right) Wood Duck on a log in a pond.  The male is in eclipse plumage (nonbreeding plumage).  On the wing of the female you can see the "speculum" patch of blue with a white tip.  The second photo show the same male Wood Duck in the water.
   The third photo shows another adult female Wood Duck.  The last photo shows a juvenile Wood Duck starting to molt into adult male plumage.
