RED-HEADED WOODPECKER MOLTING FROM JUVENILE TO ADULT, BABCOCK/ WEBB WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA,TUCKER GRADE,PUNTA GORDA,FLORIDA, 11/26/2021

   This Red-Headed Woodpecker's head, face and neck is a combinastion of brown and red.  On a juvenile it is all brown and on an adult all red.  The Woodpecker is molting from the brown of a juvenile to the red of an adult.
