MALE & FEMALE NORTHERN PINTAILS, CRANBERRY MARSH, LYNDE SHORES CONSERVATION AREA, WHITBY, ONTARIO, 10/19/2021
The first four photos show a male Northern Pintail molting from eclipse plumage to breeding plumage. The Pintail has mostly, but not completely molted. Oct.-Nov. is the time of year this molting takes place. The last three photos show a female Northern Pintail.
