BLACK TERNS IN BREEDING PLUMAGE, POINT PELEE NATIONAL PARK,LEAMINGTON,ONTARIO, 5/29/2021

   We can ID this tern as a Black Tern in breeding plumage as follows:
  • Black head, neck and underparts
  • Grey  back and wings
  • Thick, long, dark and slightly downcurved bill
  • Black legs
  • Black tail above
   The Black Tern is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 1,007.
