BREEDING COLONIES OF MOSTLY WOOD STORKS & OTHER WATERBIRDS, WAKODAHATCHEE WETLANDS,DELRAY BEACH,FLORIDA, 3/5/2021
These breeding colonies consisted mainly of Wood Storks, but among them we found the following species:
- Great Egrets
- Great Blue Herons
- Anhingas
- Double-crested Cormorants
- Snowy Egrets
- Cattle Egrets

TRICOLORED HERON WITH BILL & EYE COURTSHIP COLORS, WAKODAHATCHEE WETLANDS,DELRAY BEACH,FLORIDA, 3/5/2021
This Tricolored Heron has a bright blue bill and bright red eyes. These are the courtship colors of the Tricolored Heron's bill and eyes. They last only a short time at the beginning of the nesting cycle.
