MALE ANHINGA MOLTING INTO BREEDING PLUMAGE, NAPLES BOTANICAL GARDEN,NAPLES,FLORIDA, 2/8/2020
This male Anhinger is molting from its nonbreeding plumage to its breeding plumage. It already has the whitish feathers on its head and neck of breeding plumage, but does not yet have the blue eyes of breeding plumage. February is generally when Anhingas can start to get their breeding plumage.
