FLOCK OF MIXED SPECIES OF BIRDS, CELERY FIELDS,SARASOTA,FLORIDA, 4/14/2019

   This flock of birds of mixed species was located in the pond alongside Palmer Blvd. behind the restrooms at the visitor's center parking lot.  The following species can be seen in this flock:

• Great Egret
• White Ibis
• Glossy Ibis
• Tricolored Heron
• Wood Stork
• Roseate Spoonbill
• Red-winged Blackbird
• Black-necked Stilt
• Little Blue Heron
• Snowy Egret
• Boat-tailed Grackle

   Many of the birds are in breeding plumage and there are juveniles in the mixed flock.
