MALE GREATER ANTILLEAN GRACKLE, GOOD HOPE ESTATE,JAMAICA, 2/27/2019
We can ID this grackle as a male Greater Antillean Grackle as follows:
- All glossy black plumage
- Large rudder-like tail
- White eye
- Conical, pointed bill
- Common grackle in Jamaica
The Greater Antillean Grackle is a noisy, bold bird, confident around Man and very much at home in heavily disturbed habitats.
The Greater Antillean Grackle is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 843.
