SWAINSON'S THRUSH, HUMBER BAY PARK EAST,TORONTO,ON, 10/3/18

       We can ID this bird as a Swainson's Thrush by the following:

• Brownish upperparts
• Pinkish legs
• Buffy eyerings that extend in front of the eye creating "spectacles"
• Medium length tail
• Throat bordered on each side with a dark brown stripe
• Dark lateral throat stripes contrasting with buffy throat
• Pale underparts.
  
  Swainson's Thrush breeds in coniferous woods with dense undergrowth across Canada, Alaska and northern United States and in deciduous wooded areas on the the Pacific coast of North America.  These birds migrate to southern Mexico and as far south as Argentina.
  
  Swainson's Thrush is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 797.
