BREEDING MALE BAY-BREASTFED WARBLER, PRINCE EDWARD POINT NATIONAL WILDLIFE AREA,MILFORD, ON, 5/20/18
We can ID this warbler as a breeding male Bay-breasted Warbler by its chestnut brown crown, throat and sides; whitish patch on back of neck; grey upperparts with two white wingbars: whitish/ buffy underparts; dark eye and black legs.
The Bay-breasted Warbler breeds in northern North America, specifically in Canada, into the Great Lakes Region and into northern New England. It is a migratory bird and winter's in northwest South America and southern Central America.
