ROSEATE SPOONBILL IN TREE, MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK, SARASOTA, FLORIDA, 1/8/18

AMERICAN ALLIGATORS & BIRDS, MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK, SARASOTA, FLORIDA, 1/8/18

Thought these photos were very interesting.  The American Alligators in the previous post came onshore with all these birds behind them.  The birds behind them include Black Vultures, Wood Storks and Turkey Vultures.

LIMPKINS, MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK, SARASOTA, FLORIDA, 1/8/18

These Limpkins are scavenging for various types of mollusks. In the six and seventh photos the Limpkin has probably found a large snail.

WOOD STORKS ON LAND, IN WATER, ON TREE & MATING, MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK, SARASOTA, FLORIDA, 1/8/18

In The fourth photo the two Wood Storks at the top of the tree seem to be at their nest.  In the last 10 photos, the two Wood Storks on top of the tree and at the nest seem to be mating. I have compared these photos to videos of Wood Storks mating and it seems that is what they are doing.
In the third photo there is a Limpkin in the background.

GREAT EGRET, TURKEY VULTURE & BLACK VULTURES, MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK, SARASOTA, FLORIDA, 1/8/18

The Great Egret is in the middle of the photo,  the Turkey Vulture is to the immediate right of it and there are two Black Vultures on the right side of the photo.  We can't see the faces or bills of the other Vultures, so we couldn't determine their species.
