REDDISH EGRET, DING DARLING NWR, SANIBEL, FLORIDA
The Reddish Egret has two morphs: a dark morph and a white morph. This Reddish Egret is a dark morph, the most common in southern Florida. As in this bird, some dark morphs have some white feathers and white patches. The white morphs do not have any dark feathers or patches.
