TOMTIT, ULVA ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND, 11/9/2017
We can ID the bird in the first photo as a male of the South Island Tomtit subspecies of the Tomtit by its small size, location on Ulva Island, all-black head and neck, black upperparts with a white bar on each wing, yellowish underparts, black bill and black legs with orange-brown feet. The female South Island Tomtit is in the next three photos.
The Tomtit is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 763.

ALBATROSSES WAITING & FIGHTING FOR FISH, PATERSON INLET, STEWART ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND
These Albatrosses were attracted by the fish thrown overboard by the captain of our boat. It also attracted many other birds. The Albatrosses waited for the fish to be thrown and would sometimes fight over them.
