MALE COMMON REDPOLL, MT. COOK NATIONAL PARK, CANTERBURY REGION, SOUTH ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND
We can ID this bird as a male Redpoll by its brownish upperparts, two pale wing bars, breast suffused with red, dark face and chin and white underparts with streaked flanks.
The Common Redpoll is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 755.
