   The gulls with the red legs and red bills are adult Silver Gulls.  Those with black bills and dark legs are juvenile Silver Gulls.

PIED CORMORANTS ON ROCKS, FROM MV EYE SPY, BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

   These cormorants were on the rocks in Radcliffe harbor.  The cormorants we could identify were Pied Cormorants.  Other cormorants may be mixed in, but we couldn't tell.

PIED CORMORANT IN FLIGHT & ON WATER , FROM MV EYE SPY, MORETON BAY, BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

   We observed this cormorant flying and then landing on the water not far from the Humpback Whales.  We can ID this cormorant as a Pied Cormorant by its long, grey, hooked bill; orange eye-patch; blue eye-ring (if you look closely at the second photo you can see the blue color); white neck and underparts and black upperparts. 

   The Pied Cormorant is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 713.

HUMPBACK WHALES, FROM MV EYE SPY, MORETON BAY, BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

   These Humpback Whales were very playful and a joy to watch.  In a couple of the photos you can see two whales, the smaller one was probably a juvenile Humpback Whale.
