BRIDLED TERNS ON BUOYS, WATER WORLD PONTOON, GREAT BARRIER REEF, CAIRNS, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA
We can ID this tern as a Bridled Tern by its dark brown upperparts, white forehead extending as a line to behind the eye, greyish-white underparts, black bill and black legs.
The Bridled Tern is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands 677.
EASTERN REEF EGRET-DARK MORPH, CAIRNS, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA
We can ID this heron as the dark form of the Eastern Reef Egret by its slate-grey color, greyish--yellow heavy bill and yellowish legs (which shows through the muddy legs).
The Eastern Reef Heron is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 676.
