MALE MAGPIE-LARK, CAIRNS, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, 10/18/2017

   We can ID this bird as a male Magpie-Lark by its black throat, white eyebrow, black and white pattern, thin whitish bill and pale iris.
   The Magpie-Lark is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 675.
   


PEACEFUL DOVE, CAIRNS, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, 10/18/2017

   We can ID this dove as a Peaceful Dove by its pink-grey breast, checkered grey-brown wings, black striations on the neck and nape that descend to the back and blue-grey eye ring  that joins the bill.
   The Peaceful Dove is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 674.
