NEST OF GREEN HERMIT, MAIN BUILDING, ASA WRIGHT NATURE CENTRE, ARIMA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
This is the nest of the Green Hermit hummingbird. It was built on the hanging chain of a light. Inside are a female Green Hermit and two eggs.

SPECTACLED THRUSH, ASA WRIGHT NATURE CENTRE, ARIMA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
We can ID this bird as a Spectacled Thrush (also known as Yellow-eyed Thrush) by its large golden-yellow eyering, white streaks on throat and yellow on front of bill.
The Spectacled Thrush is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 533.

The breadnut is a medium size tree in the mulberry family. The seeds taste like chestnuts and can be roasted, canned or processed into paste, butter, flour or oil.
