During the Eco-Tour on Tarpon Bay we passed an area on land where there were many Ospreys and their nests. Some were just outside of houses. It was was quite a sight to see so many Ospreys and their nests.

TOUCH TANK, ECO-TOUR, TARPON BAY, DING DARLING NWR, SANIBEL, FL
On Monday, December 26, 2016 we went on an Eco Boat Tour on Tarpon Bay at Sanibel Island. There was a naturalist on-board. Just before the boat tour we visited the tour's touch tank. Photos are below. The various sea creatures only stay in the touch tank about a month. They go back into Tarpon Bay to be replaced by new ones.

BREEDING LESSER SCAUPS, ORLANDO WETLANDS PARK, ORLANDO, FL
The two ducks in the first photo are breeding male Lesser Scaups. The duck on left in the second photo is a breeding male Lesser Scaup and the duck on the right is a breeding female. We can ID this scaup as a Lesser Scaup, rather than a Greater Scaup by the shape of its head: the peak of the crown is at the rear. Also, we are more likely to find Lesser Scaups in fresh, shallow water habitats, such as Orlando Wetlands Park.
