EUROPEAN BEE-EATER, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a European Bee-eater by its rufous crown,  yellow throat, black eye-stripe, pale blue underparts and. blue tail.
   The European Bee-eater is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 442.

BURCHELL'S SANDGROUSE, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE

   The male Burchell's Sandgrouse is in the first photo, the female in the second photo.  We can ID the male in the first photo by its grey face and throat and white-spotted cinnamon plumage.   The female in the second photo has similar plumage, but has a buffy face and throat.
   Burchell's Sandgrouse is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 441.



RUFOUS-NAPED LARK, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Rufous-naped Lark by its rufous short erectile crest (gives bird a shaggy head look), rufous nape and upper back (can't see rest of back), downcurved bill and dark brown barred tail.
   The Rufous-naped Lark is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 440.




GREY-BACKED CAMAROPTERA, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Grey-backed Camaroptera by its grey head and back, black bill, whitish-grey underparts and olive-brown rear wings.
   The Grey-backed Camaroptera is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 439.

WOOD SANDPIPER, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE


TAWNY-FLANKED PRINIA, HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE

   We can ID this bird as a Tawny-flanked Prinia by its whitish underparts and throat, brown above, rufous edges to wings and whitish eyebrows.
   The Tawny-flanked Prinia is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 438.
