EGYPTIAN GOOSE, COURTYARD HOTEL, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

   We can ID this goose as an Egyptian Goose by its chestnut eye patch, neck ring and pink legs and bii (you can see this in the last photo).
   The Egyptian Goos is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 316.




COMMON MYNAS, COURTYARD HOTEL, JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

   We arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa this morning, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016.   From the balcony of our hotel we could see many birds.
   we can ID this bird as a Common Myna by its glossy black head, bright yellow bill, yellow skin around the eyes and yellow legs.  Also, when it flew you could see white patches on its wings.
   The C8mmon Myna is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 315.
