   In this photo you can really see the blue, black and white speculum of the Mallard.

   The first two photos are of a male Northern Flicker.  You can see the black malar stripe of a male.  The third photo is probably of a female, as it does not have a black malar stripe, although the view is somewhat obstructed.

   At Grenadier Pond we sighted three adult and one juvenile Black-crowned Night-Herons.   The first four photos are of the adults and the last two of the juvenile.
