ITS WOOD, ITS A KNOT, ITS AN ANIMAL, GREEN CAY WETLANDS, BOYNTON BEACH, FL
Its amazing how knots in a wood plank can look like something in real life. These two knots at the boardwalk at Green Cay Wetlands are a good example. The first one really looks like a Lion and the second one looks like an Ostrich.
We wood like to thank our guide at Green Cay for showing us the knot that looks like a Lion.
PURPLE MARTINS, GREEN CAY WETLANDS, BOYNTON BEACH, FL

BREEDING SNOWY EGRET, GREEN CAY WETLANDS, BOYNTON BEACH, FL
You can see the lacy plumes of this Snowy Egret's breeding plumage. When it flew away we could see its "golden slippers".
