DOWNY WOODPECKER, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL
We could ID this woodpecker as a Downy Woodpecker and not a Hairy Woodpecker by its very small size (estimated at 6" +-).
RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS IN NEST, FREEDOM MEMORIAL PARK, NAPLES, FL
This morning we birded with a group at Freedom Memorial Park. The highlight of the trip was sighting a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks in their nest. Red-shouldered Hawks generally return to the same nesting territory year after year. Both the male and female build the nest or refurbish a prior years nest.

FERAL MUSCOVY DUCKS, SUGDEN REGIONAL PARK, NAPLES, FL
These Muscovy Ducks were the largest ducks we have ever seen; they were between 2 to 3 ft. long.
