JUVENILE BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON, TAMIAMI TRAIL (ROUTE 41), COLLIER COUNTY, FL

The photos taken along the Tamiami Trail (Route 41) were taken at various locations between Route 92 and the Big Cypress Swamp Welcome Center.  These stops were the first leg of a birding field trip that was part of the Rookery Bay Nature Festival.  The field trip was led by Big Cypress National Preserve Park Ranger Lisa Adams.  She did a great job and seemed to know where all the birds were.  The group sighted or heard 49 different species of birds.
