AT CARARA NATIONAL PARK, COSTA RICA

   The large tree in the last three photos is the Kapok tree.  It is the giant of the rainforest, towering over all other vegetation  It can grow up to 200 ft. and 9-10 ft. in diameter.  It can grow up to 13 ft. per year.
   In the last photo is our tour guide for the Punta Leona leg of the trip, Jorge Mario.
