COMMON TERNS TRYING TO STEAL A FISH, PORT CREDIT, ON

Here are three Common Terns in flight.  One of them has just caught a fish and the other two are trying to steal it.  They followed the tern with the fish for quite awhile, until they gave up.

DABBLING MUTE SWAN, LAKE ONTARIO, PORT CREDT, ON

Mute Swans feed by dabbling, similarly to dabbling ducks.  They tip forward and extend their long neck into the water.  They have small tooth-like edges on the inside of their bills to grasp vegetation.
