PEKIN DUCK AT LAKE WILCOX PARK, RICHMOND HILL, ON
The Pekin Duck is a domesticated duck, originally bred from Mallards in China. It was brought to North America around 1873. It was bred for commercial use for its eggs and meat, but is also a common pet. This duck was probabably a pet that escaped or was let loose. It was hanging around with the Mallards in Lake Wilcox.
