We can ID this pigeon as a Band-tailed Pigeon as follows:
- Yellow bill with black tip. This is unique among pigeons.
- Overall color that we can see is pale gray, with what looks like a lavender wash on its chest and belly. Thus this pigeon may be a juvenile Band-tailed Pigeon.
- Red eyes (you can just make out the red color in the second photo).
- Long gray tail
The Band-tailed Pigeon is a new species to our Photographic Life List. Our ebird Life List now stands at 1,114.
