We can ID this Toucan, which is rare at this location, as a White-throated Toucan as follows:
- Black plumage with a white throat and breast bordered with a narrow red line.
- The bare skin around the eye is blue.
- The bill is huge and mainly black; has a upper mandible with a yellowish tip, yellowish upper mandible ridge and yellowish base; and a lower mandible with a blue base.
- The White-throated Toucan is very similar to the Channel-billed Toucan, but has a larger bill, which I believe these photos show.
The White-throated Toucan is a new species to our ebird Photographic Life List.
