We can ID this hummingbird as a male Bronze-tailed Plumeleteer (Red-footed Plumeleteer) follows:
- Pinkish-red feet
- Pinkish lower mandible and dark upper mandible
- Glittering green head and breast
- The subspecies in Costa Rica and Nicaragua does not actually have a bronze tail, which is why it is sometimes called a Red-footed Plumeleteer.
The Bronze-tailed Plumeleteer is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 1,062.
