Even thought this photo is not so great, it is clear enough that we can ID this warbler as a male Hooded Warbler as follows:
- Distinctive black hood with yellow face
- Yellow underparts
The Hooded Warbler breeds in eastern United States and into southernmost Canada. It is migratory, wintering in Central America and the West Indies.
The Hooded Warbler is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 1,015.
