This statue, called "Unconditional Surrender", is located in Bayfront Park on the downtown Sarasota, Florida waterfront. The statue is 25 ft tall. It is based on the famous Alfred Eisensteadt photo of a sailor kissing a nurse in New York's Times Square on August 14,1945, 'V-J Day', marking the end of World War II.
