Even though we can't see the entire bird, we can ID this bird as a moulting immature female Golden-winged Warbler as follows:
- Yellow forecrown, with the rest of the crown gray
- Yellow patch on dark wing
- Pink and black sharp bill
- The underparts are moulting into the gray and white mix of the adult female. We can see gray pin feathers on the underparts.
- Gray eyeline
The Golden-winged Warbler is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 982.
