- Habitat - lower down on mountain slopes in rocky terrain with trees and bushes
- Blackish cap that extends down nape and fairly far down onto head sides
- Large blackish bib covering whole of throat and chin
- Whitish cheek, ear-coverts and side of neck under rear of cap, sullied brownish near neck.
- Brown upperparts
- Pale brownish flanks
- Greyish legs
The Sombre Tit is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 966.
