NONBREEDING MEDITERRANEAN GULL IN FLIGHT, OROPOS LAGOON,ATTICA REGION,GREECE, 10/10/2019

   We can ID this gull as a nonbreeding Mediterranean Gull as follows:

• Almost entirely white and light gray bird, including white tail with no black and wings with no black or black tips (this distinguishes this gull from most other gulls).  
• Reddish near base of bill with black towards tip (you can just make the red out in the last three photos)
• White face with smudge behind eye  
• Dark legs

   The Mediterranean Gull is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 972.
