We can ID this sandpiper as a nonbreeding Common Redshank ( Tringa totanus) as follows:
- Brown upperparts, head and neck
- Whitish underparts, spotted at flanks
- Red legs
- Straight bill is red towards base and black towards tip
The Common Redshank is a new species in our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 923.
