FEMALE EURASIAN SPARROWHAWK IN FLIGHT, SCHINIAS NATIONAL PARK,MARATHON,ATTICA REGION,GREECE, 10/10/2019

    We can ID this raptor as a female Eurasian Sparrowhawk as follows:

• Greyish underparts and head 
• Short, broad wings 
• The bird has the "no" neck look of a typical Eurasian Sparrowhawk in flight 
• Underwing pattern from a long distance: barred dull orangey and grey  

   The Eurasian Sparrowhawk is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 974.
