We can ID this raptor as a Black-winged Kite as follows:
- White underparts and head
- Grey upperparts and wings
- Face has owl-like appearance
- Black eyeline, shoulders and wing tips
- Orange feet
The Black-winged Kite is also called the Black-shouldered Kite. This is a different species than the Black-shouldered Kite of Australia.
The Black-winged Kite is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 936.
