NASHVILLE WARBLER, HIGH PARK,TORONTO,ON, 9/1/2019

   We can ID this warbler as a Nashville Warbler as follows:
  • Small size
  • Thin pointed dark bill
  • Gray head
  • White eyering (as much as we can see of it)
  • Yellowish underparts
  • Merlin photo bird ID app identified this bird as a Nashville Warbler, with no other alternatives

     The Nashville Warbler is a small bird, about 4 1/2".  It winters primarily in central and southern Mexico.  Males and females do not differ significantly in their plumage and males do not go through a major color change in the nonbreeding season.

   The Nashville Warbler is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 919.
