      We can ID this bird as a Plain Xenops as follows:

• Brown head with buff supercilium and conspicuous white malar stripe
• Short wedge-shaped bill with upturned lower mandible
• Rufous tail 
• Brownish overall, with no streaks

     The Plain Xenops is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 867.
