We can ID this Epidomax Flycatcher as a Least Flycatcher as follows:
- Bold, thick, white eyerings, slightly thicker in back of eye. This eyering differentiates the Least Flycatcher from other Epidomax Flycatchers. The Epidomax Flycatchers whose range overlaps with the Least Flycatcher are: Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Arcadian Flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher and Alder Flycatcher.
- Whitish throat. This differentiates the Least Flycatcher from the similar Yellow-bellied Flycatcher.
- Greyish-olive upperparts. This differentiates the Least Flycatcher from the Arcadian Flycatcher, which is more greenish above.
- Whitish underparts.
- Nape is more grayish then rest of upperparts. This differentiates the Least Flycatcher from other Epidomax Flycatchers whose range overlaps.
- Two white wingbars.
The Least Flycatcher is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 852.
