We can ID this Woodcreeper as a Ruddy Woodcreeper as follows:
- Almost entirely rufous
- Straight bill
- Was photographed in area near swarms of army ants. This species is highly dependent on army ant swarms for food, so it is generally sighted near them
- Pale grayish eyering. You can just make this out in the photo
The Ruddy Woodcreeper is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 839.
