RED-NECKED AVOCET, WESTERN TREATMENT PLANT, WERRIBEE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

We can ID this avocet as a Red-necked Avocet by its long upcurved bill, rich chestnut color of head and neck, white eye ring and white and black plumage.
In the third photo we can also see terns mixed in with the avocets.  These are probably White-winged Black Terns.
The Red-necked Avocet is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 668.
