We observed this cormorant flying and then landing on the water not far from the Humpback Whales. We can ID this cormorant as a Pied Cormorant by its long, grey, hooked bill; orange eye-patch; blue eye-ring (if you look closely at the second photo you can see the blue color); white neck and underparts and black upperparts.
The Pied Cormorant is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 713.
