MASKED LAPWING OR SPUR-WINGED PLOVER , LARA, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA

We can ID this bird as the eastern form of the Masked Lapwing (called the Spur-winged Plover in New Zealand) by its black crown, white neck and throat with black neck stripe, brown upperparts and yellow wattles  (you can just make this out in photo).
The Masked Lapwing is a new species to our Photographic Life List, which now stands at 650.
