JUVENILE OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, TURTLE LAKE, GRAVENHURST, ON

   We can ID this bird as a juvenile Olive-sided Flycatcher as follows:
  • White throat and belly with contrasting dark flanks and dark head.
  • Two faint wing bars.
  • Heavy bill.
  • Slightly notched tail.
  • Extended yellow gape indicates this flycatcher is a juvenile.
